Snowmobiling in Vermont has been a favorite winter pastime for over 40 years. It’s a great way to see Vermont the way many locals do. Whether you are looking for a family friendly loop based out of town, or an all day ride with the boys Newport is a great home base for your snowmobiling adventures.

The VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers), together with local clubs, maintains Vermont’s trail network with over 120 groomers. There are over 128 VAST clubs to choose from located throughout Vermont. Once you join a club, purchase a TMA and meet other insurance & registration requirements, you may use any of the open VAST trails located throughout the state during the snowmobile season.
