Plenty to See and Do in Newport Vermont

Le Belvedere

Newport City Renaissance Corporation Le Belvedere

If your tastebuds want a chance to sample local fair with flair, Le Belvedere is a must-stop for your Newport dining pleasure.  Try the pecan-crusted striped bass with an orange-tarragon butter, not to mention hamachi, tapas, seafood plates and sushi. Le Belvédère not only pleases the palate, you can also feast your eyes on the plentiful antiques, sink down into the lounge with leather chairs and sip your favorite cocktail while taking in the breathtaking view of Newport's waterfront.

Thursday is Sushi Night - Call us for a take-out order for lunch or to make a reservation for tonight!

If you have not already try our sushi menu, you have to try it today! It is a tasty, colorful and healthy way to have lunch and/or dinner!! (We also have a regular menu available at dinner time for those of you who do not dare!)

Le Belvedere opened in the state office building along Newport’s waterfront in mid-February 2011. The new owner — Dena Gray of the East Side Restaurant & Pub — purchased the defunct Boathouse Grill this winter and tapped her stepdaughter, Véronique Rancourt, as manager. The pair hired Newport native Chef Jason Marcoux as chef, and the fun hasn't stopped since!  Fabulous food, views of Lake Memphremagog; Le Belvedere offers the perfect way to cap off a sunset evening with fine dining. ~ Closed Monday & Tuesday.

The tapas and sushi are spectacular. Service is impeccable...friendly, helpful, and not at all bothered that we kept them busy past closing time. The atmosphere is great, and even better when you can dine outside with the amazing view over Lake Memphremagog looking north to Quebec. My favorite special dinner location in Newport! Or regular dinner!
