Lago Trattoria translates literally from the Italian as ‘lake restaurant,’ an apt description, as Lago Trattoria is located in Newport, Vermont, on the shores of international Lake Memphremagog. But a literal translation does little to explain the highly rated dining experience found each night of the week at Lago Trattoria. Established by Tom Farrant in 1869, Farrant's Greenhouses, Inc., has the distinction of being the oldest business in the Newport area.  In 1927, Harold Jenks purchased the greenhouses, providing a seasonal fare from annual garden plants and vegetables to fresh-cut flowers and arrangements.

The MAC Center for the Arts  began with a small group of artists with our first space opening in 2007. Since then it has grown and become an integral part of Newport’s downtown as a vital destination for visual and performance art.

The Center's gallery offers the works of about 40 local artists for exhibit and sale. The works include fine art, photographs, pottery, fiber arts, jewelry, woodworking, folk art, cards, and more.

Six partners took their love of Thai food to create a unique, local eating destination in Newport. The six are a diverse group that includes the city's mayor, an artist, developer, financial guru, and most importantly, local Thai chef Rasamy Poulima of Newport City. Born in Laos, a country snuggled between Thailand and Vietnam, Poulima speaks Thai and grew up eating Thai cuisine.

Burger Lovers - you HAVE to check out Junior's... right on Main Street.
